Temporary Veneers

  • Avoid chewing and drinking hot beverages until the dental anesthesia wears off.
  • Do not floss around the temporary veneers.
  • Avoid chewing sticky foods and candies.
  • Your gum tissue around the injection site may be sensitive for a few days.
  • Your teeth may be sensitive to hot, cold and sweets during the temporary phase.
  • If a temporary veneer comes loose, attempt to place the veneer back on the tooth. In many cases, it will stay on its own. If it does not, place some denture adhesive cream inside the temporary and try again. In either case, please give our office a call to re-cement the veneer properly.

A temporary is not the same size, shape or color as the final restoration; we will do our best to achieve an acceptable result.
