Temporary Crowns
  • Avoid chewing and drinking hot beverages until the dental anesthesia wears off.
  • Your gum tissue around the injection site may be sensitive for a few days.
  • Do not floss around your temporary crown or bridge.
  • Avoid chewing sticky foods and candies.
  • If a temporary crown comes loose, attempt to place the crown back on the tooth. In many cases it will stay on its own.
  • If it does not, place some denture adhesive cream inside the temporary crown and try again. In either case, please give our office a call to re-cement the crown properly.
  • Your temporary crown may be sensitive to hot, cold, or sweets.

A temporary is not the same size, shape or color as the final restoration; we will do our best to achieve an acceptable result.
